My liking for gardens to be lavish is an inherent part of my garden philosophy. I like generosity wherever I find it, whether in gardens or elsewhere. I hate to see things scrimp and scrubby. Even the smallest garden can be prodigal within its limitations. - Vita Sackville-West

Dear Friends,
Who would have thought the 'lowly' potato would have triggered such a response! Several of you emailed to say how delicious they were! Thank you. I made a big potato salad one day and dinner of baked another night and I too was impressed. We'll send again in a couple of weeks...
Saturday's Cheese Making 101 was another success. A couple of long time shareholders attended and were pleased to see the operation after many many years of support. If you haven't been here, we'd love to see you at a class or we'll offer an open house tour soon.
Here's a delicious summer recipe you might like to try (sorry, no jicama in your bag):
Raw Food Indian Curry Soup
1 c diced jicama, 2 cups zucchini, 1 c cucumber, 2 celery stalks, couple of garlic, ginger, lemon juice, 1 1/2t curry, 1 T honey, 1/2 t salt, 1 c water, 1 T Bragg's Amino Acids (soy sauce substitute).
Blend, chill, serve. Yum.
I'm leaving this on again this week as even I am getting weary of squash. It's Squash season again and some of you will be receiving big ones! Not to panic, they're very edible and here is a link with many recipes to choose from: Summer Squash Recipes
If any one needs cooking suggestions, please remember we now have Julie on board (we're trading deliveries for cooking and recipe support) and she'll be happy to help you. Her blog is posted on our website or you may reach her and view her recipes here: http://nourishcommunity.com/blog/
