Yes! in the poor man's garden grow,

Far more than herbs and flowers,

Kind thoughts, contentment, peace of mind,

And joy for weary hours.

Dear Friends,

How quickly the food seasons change..from snap peas, broccoli, cauliflower et al to summer squash, beans, tomatoes..in a flash.  Year after year, the some subtle and others dramatic changes never fail to amaze me..to walk out in one morning and see Zebrina flowers and sunflowers that I swear, yesterday were only 2 ft tall and now six!

Mulberries, blackberries and French lavender are ripe..if you have a special request to come and harvest, let me know.

We are hosting another Corgi Meetup here Saturday as a farm fundraiser.

We are also hosting a wedding in July with about 60 guests.  If you know of someone that needs a venue for an affordable special event, please keep us in mind for a referral.

I'm leaving this link up again about the benefits of eating greens..you wouldn't believe how many shareholders want to cancel because we're sending too many 'green' things! in spite of our cooking suggestions.  I mean really, we send one bunch of a cooking green per week and we're supposed to have one a day!!

Here's another interesting article supporting the goodness of connecting to nature.  We're going to offer a Children's Day on the 28th of July (check the Meetup site) complete with pony rides, a petting zoo, and hands on cooking for them!

Children Need Dirt!

If any one needs cooking suggestions, please remember we now have Julie on board (we're trading deliveries for cooking and recipe support) and she'll be happy to help you.  Her blog is posted on our website or you may reach her and view her recipes here: http://nourishcommunity.com/blog/
