When I walk out of my house into my garden I walk out of my habitual self, my every-day thoughts, my customariness of joy and sorrow by which I recognize and assure myself of my own identity.  These I leave behind me for a time, as the bather leaves his garments on the beach. - Alexander SmithCorgi's

Regular size CSA items:  Bacon avocado, pomelos, Navel oranges, pears or apples, bananas, French breakfast radishes or baby celery, peppers or cauliflower or snap peas, bok choi, red mustard or collards, beets or kohlrabi, parsley, ginger, celery, broccoli, scallions,  sweet lettuce, mixed sprouts, salad and bouquet of flowers.  Substitutions may occur.

Dear Friends,

Oh my, the wisteria are blooming!  Not to take away from the other beautiful flowers that are popping out, however, the graceful swoop and subtle scent of the wisteria is special.  Who could worry about anything when appreciating wisteria?

Do your ingredients make you think of stir-fry?  It does to me.  If anyone needs assistance, let me know.  Otherwise the #1 recommendation I can make for auxiliary ingredients is the soy substitute (no salt, yet all the flavor) Bragg's Soysauce substitute.  It's only $3.40 in the GreenStore and is in a convenient spray bottle.  Go ahead and try it.  You'll be hooked.

For our workshop this Saturday (from 1pm to 3pm), we are lucky to have Austin Durant, recently highlighted in Sunset Magazine to give us a talk and hands-on demonstration of the 'new' craze for the health aware of fermenting foods.  He started the Fermentor's Club here in San Diego and is being quite the popular guy (he's cute too).  Fermented foods may sound a little wacky to you but the title holds some very popular items like pickles, catsup, kimchi and sauerkraut.  Come join us and enjoy a beautiful March day at Seabreeze.  Place your reservation through the Green Store.

We also do invite you to join our  Seabreeze Organic Farm Meetup for notices of upcoming events and workshops.

Please keep your notes and comments coming.  I read them all.

Enjoy in good health.
