 Measuring your Company's Strength

Dear C12 Members & Friends,

How do you measure the strength of your company? Many business owners and CEOs rate their company purely by its ability to generate cash or a solid investment return-- financial capital.  Some also measure a company's strength in terms of intellectual capital, representing the cumulative knowledge, experience, and technical 'know-how' of their people and processes. Organizational capital is used to measure the combination of the reputation, culture, goodwill, leadership, creativity, innovativeness, and overall responsiveness to target customers and markets.   But, what about a company's Spiritual Capital?
As Christian business owners/ CEOs, we simultaneously operate in two worlds: the material world - where all of these measures apply - and the eternal or spiritual dimension, spiritual capital, which is governed by yet further metrics.  How do you measure your company's spiritual capital?   How can we as business leaders draw upon our most fundamental purposes and highest motivations and find a way to embed these in our work and in our companies?

This is just a glimpse of the topics C12 Austin/San Antonio will be exploring in October.  We will also dive into leadership lessons such as cash flow management and the proactive steps you should take to avoid surprises, stumbling blocks and blinds spots as a business owner.

Experience what makes C12 so unique and different on October 12th Join C12 members and Christian business leaders like you on October 12th in San Antonio for a Strategic Plan for Ministry Workshop hosted by Buck Jacobs, C12 Founder& Chairman and a Private Dinner with Bill Hybels and Buck Jacobs.  Final reservations are due before October 8th, so click here to reserve your seats today!

October  CEO Roundtable Topics

This month's board meetings will provide us with time
for  an opening devotional, focused prayer related to our businesses and families, open table discussion,  progress review and new to-do items.  Click here to view a brief video synopsis of what to expect this month.

DEVOTION
Working Lawful vs. Helpful (1Cor 10:23)

There's a vital difference between what's lawful or ethical in our society and what's highest and best according to our Lord's unchanging truth.  As leaders, we have a special level of potential and accountability.  Still, some of us allow our Christian 'liberty' - rooted in the confidence and freedom we have in Christ's completed work - to become a stumbling block for others.  How about you?

Working 'on' my BUSINESS
Cash Flow Basics

Cash is the lifeblood of any business, yet few CEOs truly plan and monitor cash flow to ensure that the business can grow and thrive along the way.  Too many CEOs merely look at their P&L in the rear view mirror while ignoring the cash performance and future cash needs of the business.  This blind spot can have devastating long-term consequences!

Working 'on' my MINISTRY in God's Business
Spiritual Capital

Spiritual capital builds when we and our team point to Christ, His eternal purpose, and truth.  Our spiritual capital largely determines our capacity to minister through business.  Stories that celebrate the way God's purpose and goodness flows to and through our people - experienced as 'rhemas' - are invaluable in cultivating an eternally fruitful culture.
