Dear Friends & C12 Members,
Are you feeling a bit worn down as we head into what will most likely be a long hot summer of continued economic weakness and political turbulence? Would you categorize your attitude as "generally positive" or "generally negative" about the future?
Surveys say that most Americans feel our country is "heading in the wrong direction" and most have little confidence that our current leadership is on the right track. So, how do we stay "up" in a "down" time? Trust me... there is good news.
In reality, as Christians we know that God uses trials and tests to refine us while building our faith, trust and dependence on Him, but many of us don't directly 'connect' that truth with our business lives. We grasp it more easily in health-related challenges or in relationships, but we somehow expect the government or the Federal Reserve to carry the load of the economy. This separated thinking doesn't work. God is God of all or He's not God at all.
The difficulties and turmoil currently swirling around us are just some more of the "all things" that are being used for good - our good - if we choose to see them correctly. God has called us for just a time such as this! We are His personally-selected Ambassadors to the world of 2011.
Long hot summers come and go. Economies cycle up and down. Winds blow, sometimes bring cooling breezes and other times horrible storms. But our God is the same One who never changes. He is our Rock.
Even in these economic times, C12 membership continues to grow! We are thrilled to announce our expansion! July 14th marks our inaugural Hill Country Advisory Board meeting in Kerrville, TX.
Every day, more CEOs and Owners recognize the vital importance of "Building GREAT Businesses for a GREATER Purpose." Please accept this invitation as our guest to sit in on an upcoming C12 board meeting for a refreshing time of encouragement, sharpening, and fellowship.
If you are not yet a member of C12 Group and would like to discover the advantages, click here to hear candid, unedited videos of what our members are saying.
We also welcome you to join us at the CEO Private Briefing webinar to experience the solid business material and resources available to C12 members.
Take care, Grace.

July CEO Roundtable Topics
| |
July board meetings will provide us with time for an opening devotional, focused prayer related to our businesses and families, open table discussion, progress review and new to-do items. Click here to view a brief video synopsis of what to expect this month.
July Executive Summary
DEVOTION
Wholly His (2 Chronicles 16:9)
The "eyes of the LORD" search the Earth to aid those whose hearts are wholly His. Jesus prompts us to consider our hearts nearly 50 times in the gospels. This devotion challenges us to examine ourselves, identify the areas of our life held apart from God, and to use our C12 peers to help us with prayer, counsel, accountability, and encouragement.
Working 'on' my BUSINESS
Staying on Course with C12's Five-Point Alignment Matrix
This is segment three in a four-part series on casting a vision that actually gets implemented. We introduce a framework that helps us maintain strategic and operational alignment while firmly integrating ministry and our core principles as we plan and track performance.
Working 'on' my MINISTRY in God's Business
To Be Well Spent
We often see ourselves most clearly, and are inspired to reach higher and finish strong, when examining the lives of those who have gone before us. This segment looks at the legacy of several business leaders while challenging us to consider our own.

Points of View...
Two Masters - Which Do We Serve? (Mt 6:24)

During economic times like these, we can easily go one of two ways in our thinking about money: (1) Understand for the first time, that we can get by surprisingly well with less. (2) Become frustrated and anxious, for the level of income we'd previously become accustomed to. Read more...
Culture Wars

Business is really all about people. While there are other important and influential factors, of course, at the end of the day the quality of our people and the quality of our culture are inextricably linked. They are simply the most critical elements in our success equation, no matter the size or nature of our business.
