| November CEO Roundtable Topics | |
November's various roundtable topics will give members the opportunity to ask thought-provoking questions: How can we better balance our daily resonsibilities without derailing from our biblical wisdom? How can we generate solid referrals in a way that's consistent with our Christian testimony? What view of God's Word do you hold in your life and busines?
As always, we take time for an opening devotional, focused prayer related to our businesses and families, open table discussion, progress review and new to-do items. Click here to view a brief video synopsis of what to expect this month.
Devotion Rich toward God, or Rich Fool? (Lk 12:15-21) Although Abraham's flocks multiplied, his faith enabled him to maintain a 'kingdom first' attitude in stewarding the resources God entrusted to him. Proverbs 30 asks God for "not poverty or riches, but only our daily bread" so we're sure to avoid the temptations associated with either extreme. Unfortunately, the default goal of many Christian business owners today is the same as that of the popular culture - to accumulate worldly wealth in order to achieve 'security' and self-sufficiency in this lifetime. During our discussion we wil ask, How much is enough? What does it mean to be rich toward God? Do your long-term goals reflect this?
Working 'on' my BUSINESS Generating Worthy Referrals Referrals can be invaluable in generating new business. As Christian business leaders, we want to build real relationships based on trust due to our superior performance. So, what distinguishes a compelling referral from the shotgun 'networking' approach so prevalent in business today? This segment provides the opportunity for members to share their own best practices and brainstorm real, actionable steps to generate more activity and revenue in today's challenging economy.
Working 'on' my MINISTRY in God's Business
Two Fundamental Decisions
This segment follows-up this month's devotional by analyzing two critical issues that every Christian must face: Who is Jesus? and What is the Bible? As Christians, we may seem to have the right answers regarding Jesus and the Bible. But when confronted by struggles, fears, and even our goals in the midst of daily life and business, this head knowledge doesn't always translate to heartfelt action. During this segment we probe these two topics and discuss a handful of specific business areas that demonstrate how far we sometimes stray from God's best and highest for us. |
