Greetings from the Executive Committee of C12 Group!
Our various roundtable agendas are covering several interesting topics this month. In particular we are focusing on what being a 'casual' Christ-follower looks like versus a 'captive' Christ -follower. With Jude 3 guiding our themes, we ask the question: As a business leader, how you answer this question is vital to the impact you will have with hundreds of stakeholders, so are you contending for the faith at work? If not, why not?
In our Business Best Practice segment we go deep into an actual case study from one of our C12 board members. With his permission, we take a close look at how he made critical mistakes in funding the growth of his business and as a result found himself immersed in lies, debt, family strife, loss of trust with peers and a broken relationship with God. As we track along with him the question on everyone's mind is why? Does your current approach to owning and financing your company consistent with what's best according to Scripture?
Finally, in our Business as Mission segment, we again revisit the issues of temptation accociated with money, sex and power and how these are best dealt with in an environment of mutual accountability and transparency. We were created by God to be in communion with each other, holding each other to higher regard. Our focus on 1Jn 1:7 will certainly give us the scriptural covering for this mandate.
