| Crosswalk Attempt This Week |
As promised, we're back again to do the crosswalk inlays. The new plan is for this Thursday and Friday, July 7 & 8. The work would still be done from 8 pm to 4 am, shutting down the intersection during those times. We see one raindrop on the weather forecast for Thursday (of course), but as of today, the contractor believes he can move forward and finish. If something changes, we'll let you know (again).
The construction company needs to install the thermo inlays for the crosswalks. Thermo inlays are important for the crosswalks for two reasons. First, they direct pedestrians and alert drivers of the crossing better than plain striping. Second, they last much, much longer than painted stripes, which means we won't have to disturb traffic flow for rework for a very long time. Thank you again for your patience.
