Issue 19
Evening Closure this Thursday & Friday

The pavement is in, the light is cycling by sensor, the striping is guiding the way...we're getting close to being done.  There is one more step that will impact traffic.  The construction company needs to install the thermo inlays for the crosswalks.  To do that, they will close the intersection this Thursday and Friday (June 23 and 24) from 8pm to 4am, both evenings.  We realize you were probably not expecting any more closures, but there's no other way to inlay material across all lanes.

Thermo inlays are important for the crosswalks for two reasons.  First, they direct pedestrians and alert drivers of the crossing better than plain striping.  Second, they last much, much longer than painted stripes, which means we won't have to disturb traffic flow for rework for a very long time. Thank you again for your patience.
