| Santa in Sumner |
|
There are many chances to see Santa in Sumner this holiday season. Tomorrow, December 4, the Fire Station is serving up their annual pancake breakfast with Santa. Donations of $3 help local families in need. Then, Santa returns at 2:30 on Main Street for the annual Santa Parade. Also keep watch for some familiar faces and one favorite, antique Sumner fire engine!
Santa will also be joining his friends at East Pierce Fire and Rescue to visit Sumner neighborhoods on December 18. Santa likes to hit the siren a lot when he's doing this run, so if you hear sirens on December 18, remember that it's likely Santa rather than an emergency.
If you'd like to help Santa, Sumner Police are once again running the Toys for Tots program to match up donated new toys with local kids' wishes. Plus, Sunset Chev is collecting new toys for St. Francis House. |

| Routine Lahar Siren Test on Monday |
|
Just a reminder that this coming Monday, December 6, is the routine test of the lahar sirens, including the two in Sumner. The test will be at noon and last for approximately one minute.
These audible tests will be conducted the first Monday of every month at noon. They routinely make sure every aspect of the siren works and also help us recognize what the siren sounds like. If we ever hear it at a different time than noon on a first Monday, we can quickly realize that we need to pay attention to other emergency notices like weather radios and bulletins from Pierce County Alert!

| Public Notices |
Ever see a yellow Notice sign around town and not get the chance to read it fully? Public notices are also posted online, which may be an easier (and drier) option for keeping up to date on the latest public notices.
