Volunteer with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)! The group is planning Blue Ribbbon Week at the Geary County Court House in Junction City, and they need a team that will set up, light and maintain luminaries on the Court House steps during an evening program. Blue Ribbon Week's purpose is to raise awareness of Child Abuse and Neglect in this community. CASA volunteers are everyday citizens that Judges appoint to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have been removed from their homes due to parental abuse and neglect. They stand up for these children and change their lives. If you are interested in volunteering in April and have about 10-20 people that could help, please contact Donia Schmiege by calling (785) 761-4841 or send her an e-mail
at casa@8thjd.com. Interested in learning about another culture? Need a friend? Apply to become an International Buddy! This is an excellent opportunity to learn from an international student and teach them what you know and love about K-State!
The First Presbyterian Church is looking for students to help out at a luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 31st from 10:00am-3:00pm. Volunteers will be paid for their time. Please contact Linda Couch at (785) 341-3533 for further information.

GAMMA Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol
Are you interested in forming a peer education group that works as a team to identify high-risk student behavior and then creatively develops ways to educate Greek members?
GAMMA is a leadership program specifically for fraternity and sorority members who agree to be advocates to their chapter members. GAMMA members can lead the way for learning more about health and safety issues, and reduce some of the high-risk behaviors that can cause harm to individuals or to the chapter.

Homecoming Reminders from Jacquie Lewis, Director of Interfraternal Relations
Please address Greek homecoming related questions to Jacquie Lewis at jacqlew@ksu.edu or David Allen at allendvd@ksu.edu, before contacting the Alumni Center employees - they are very busy people and shouldn't be bothered with questions that we can answer!

We also had a dinner swap with Theta Xi! On Monday night our New Members had a function with Sigma Chi and they carved pumpkins. On Thursday we had a sisterhood event called 'Spooktacular' and went trick-or-treating. We would like to wish everyone good luck next week during Homecoming! Questions? Kappa Alpha Theta: Congratulations to the Theta flag football team for winning the intramural championship! During chapter this week we welcomed a new advisor and approved the 2011 slate, so good luck to all of the new officers! Also, we had a great time at the grill-out with our Homecoming partners, Delta Sigma Phi and Sigma Pi, and have enjoyed working with them so far. Questions? Contact Suzanna Morin at smorin@ksu.edu.
