B.I.G.
B.I.G. is the all Greek philanthropy that is held annually. This year, the philanthropy will be held in conjunction with the Volunteer Center as the kick off to their 'Make a Difference Week'. On October 23rd
members representing the entire Greek community, will participate in an event that will include, but is not limited to, leaf raking, trash pickup, house cleanup, gutter cleaning, etc. We will be dispersed across the community at many locations that are all in need of services before winter sets in. Busing will be available for sites that are further away, but we will be looking to chapters for some transportation needs.
Your pre-registration sheet was due to Greek Affairs by October 14th at 5pm. Your members signed up on that form will be contacted with more information.
Also, e-mail Heather Houchen or Logan Gauby if know of anyone interested or you would like to be trained to be a site leader for this project. We would love your help!
Beta Boo
Beta Boo will take place October 22nd. The kids version will be from 6-8 and the "scary" version will be from 8-11. Cost is $5 or $3 and a canned good. Will benefit the Old Engine #1 Fund at the Manhattan Fire Department. Hope to see you there!
GAMMA
(Greeks Advocating the Mature Managment of Alcohol)
Are you interested in forming a peer education group that works as a team to identify high-risk student behavior and then creatively develops ways to educate Greek members? GAMMA is a leadership program specifically for fraternity and sorority members who agree to be advocates to their chapter members. GAMMA members can lead the way for learning more about health and safety issues, and reduce some of the high-risk behaviors that can cause harm to individuals or to the chapter. Want to learn more? Homecoming Reminders:
- The next All-University meeting is October 18th at 6:30 in the Banquet room of the Alumni Center. Attendance is required by all chapters' homecoming chairs.
