Social Media Presentation
A new concept regarding
Facebook etiquette was presented on Monday at the Panhellenic Council Meeting.
The concept involves an anonymous member of your chapter creating a Facebook
account and befriending all chapter members. From there, "Polly Pi
Phi" or "Karie Kappa Delta" would monitor chapter members
Facebooks randomly, making sure the pages were appropriate. If inappropriate
pictures were found, "Polly" or "Karie" would send a
message to the member asking them to take the pictures down within a few days.
A different chapter member would be responsible for using the anonymous
Facebook account each month, therefore no one would know who the messages were
from. This solution would hopefully eliminate animosity between chapter members
and improve the Greek community's image here at K-State! If your chapter is
interested in implementing this policy, please contact Natalie Rauth at njrauth@ksu.edu.
