Chapter Roster Updates: Due by 5:00 pm in Greek Affairs on February 3rd, 2010. Several listservs and officer lists have been updated on the Greek Affiars website, but due to many officer updates not being reported by chapters,most of the contact information on the Greek Affairs website still needs to be updated. Chapter President and Recruitment Chair information is accurate.
Fraternity Recruitment Class: Feb. 9th at 7 pm in the K-State Union. Chapter attendance is expected as Emily Lehning, Assistant Vice President for Student Life will present.
Required Forms: Anti-Hazing Form and Dry Recruitment Forms are Due by 5:00 pm on January 29th in Greek Affairs.
Community Service:Remember to turn in
all community service hours to Logan Gauby email him at [email protected] Chapter President Meetings: If you have not yet met with Brandon Cutler, please email him at [email protected] to set up a meeting time.

Greek LEADS:
Sunday February 21st, 2010 from 1 pm - 5 pm in the K-State Student Union. All chapter officers are expected to be in attendance.
IFC Meeting at Kappa Sigma - Monday Feb. 1 @ 7:00 pm
Greek Night for
the Women's Basketball: After a meeting with the
athletics department last Thursday, the GreekNight basketball game has been
scheduled for Wednesday, February 24th at 7:00 pm vs. Texas Tech. The theme for
the game will be 80's night and the chapter members with the best costumes will
be selected to participate in the half-time festivities. Also, the chapter with
the largest percentage of attendees will receive a $100 donation to the
philanthropy of their choice from the athletics department. We look forward to
seeing you all there!
Public Relations Committee: Have great ideas for news stories? Want to help promote the
Greek Community? Then apply to be on the Public Relations Committee to help
work with the public relations team.
Applications are due to Greek Affairs by 5:00pm Monday, February 1st.

recruit members to become a part of community? Then Greek Ambassadors is a way
to that. We are currently looking for more ambassadors. Please email David

K-State Orientation & Wildcat Warm-up Leaders Over the next few months, staff in New Student Services
will be hiring the Orientation Leader and Wildcat Warm-up teams for summer
2010. As in the past, we will be looking for outstanding student leaders to
represent K-State and assist new students and their families in the transition
to college life.
The best orientation program teams are those that include
students from a wide variety of majors, hometowns, extra-curricular interests,
ethnicities, ages, and experiences. Please assist us in building a strong
pool of candidates by nominating students with whom you work.
Qualifications include: good academic (minimum 2.50
gpa) and disciplinary standing; the ability to relate well with students,
parents, faculty, and administrators; an understanding and belief in the
purpose of the orientation and enrollment programs; responsibility, confidence
and a positive attitude; and a commitment to exploring diversity and
acceptance.
Students do NOT have to be nominated in order to apply.

Any student may also access the application packet at www.k-state.edu/nss/positions. Applications are due Monday, February 15,
2010.

Job & Volunteer Opportunities
The Academic Assistance
Center is recruiting outstanding undergraduates for the 2010 fall semester to
teach in our Enhanced University Experience program. Selected students will
provide instruction in academic skills and lead study groups in social science
or mathematics with a salary of $1000 for semester. Contact Dr. Judith Lynch at

Court-Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers who give their time to
advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. During 2009,
181 children in need of care cases were filed in Riley, Clay and Pottawatomie
counties. We were only able to assign a CASA volunteer to 63 of the children
involved with these cases. This means that we need your help now more than
