Public
Reporting of Fraternity and Sorority Chapter Grades Beginning Fall 2009
Semester - The First Public Report to be Published March 1, 2010
In order to better meet the
expressed needs of our Potential New Members (PNMs) and ther families, the
K-State Greek Affairs Office will begin publicly reporting and ranking
aggregate chapter grade information for the following chapter categories: New
Members, Initiated Members, All-Chapter Members. Individual
grade information will NOT be publicly reported. Any chapter reporting category consisting of
fewer than two members will not be publicly reported.
Chapter grade information is
K-State Greek Affair's most requested statistic from parents and PNMs. Previously, Greek Affairs has been unable to
respond to these detailed requests because fraternity grades were publicly
reported by quartile only and sorority grades were not publicly reported. Research of Big 12 institutions showed that
K-State was in the minority of institutions (Baylor, OK State, OU, CU, K-State)
that did not publicly report chapter grade information.
Designated chapter officials such
advisors, scholarship chairs, and presidents will continue to receive
individual member grade reports each semester.
Recipients of this information will continue to be used for internal,
chapter-specific purposes only.

student leader on campus? Do you know
someone who is working hard to make K-State a better place? Is there someone you know that makes a
difference in people's lives every day?
If so, nominate this person for a K-State Hero award! K-State Hero awards were introduced upon
completion of the K-State PROUD Student campaign, and serve to honor and
recognize the students who work hard every day to make K-State the place it is. Five $500 awards will be given this fall to
students who have shown their commitment to making K-State better through their
leadership and service. Please nominate
