Help prevent the spread of influenza in your chapter
K-State and Greek Affairs is prepared to help your chapter
respond to sick members, but more importantly, we want to help you be aware of
how your chapter can stay healthy. Here's what you should know:
H1N1 flu is spread through respiratory droplets that are coughed
or sneezed into the air. It may also be spread by virus that remains on hands
after coughing or sneezing that gets spread to others through common use items
such as phones, doorknobs, desks and keyboards.
If you or one of your chapter sisters are sick, have them stay home to
avoid spreading illness. Encourage them not to go to class or chapter
functions and certianly do not require their attendance.
All members should use simple caution during the flu season: cough
or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and properly dispose of used tissues.
Clean hands after using tissues with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap
and warm water. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Stay healthy by
eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water and getting adequate rest and
exercise.
Should members in your chapter become ill, please contact
the Greek Affairs office immediately.
Learn more about H1N1 and the K-State and Greek Affairs response to the virus.

Homecoming Pranks- Appropriate Behavior Reminder
Please take the time to remind the men in your
chapters of appropriate treatment of homecoming partners. In the past,
Homecoming partners have often played pranks on each other. IFC and PHC would
like to strongly discourage this kind of behavior, as the often result in
property damage and can be upsetting to residents in the privacy of their homes
