In an effort to seek the advise and support of another Panhellenic Council, they have asked to visit with the K-State Panhellenic Council leadership. Meghan Butler, Panhellenic Council President, is developing a series of opportunities for the UNL Panhellenic to learn more about K-State PHC operations - many of you may be asked to help with the UNL Panhellenic Council visit which will take place September 11-13. Gamma Rho Lambda to host national conference, and needs your help!
The following message comes from Stephanie Brandt, a member of Gamma Rho Lambda.
Gamma Rho Lambda will be hosting a national conference, Out and Greek, right here at K-State on November 19-22, 2009. The goal of this conference is to help to educate leaders on our campus and many others about LGBTQ issues and concerns.
Out and Greek is a leadership conference that teaches how to create a safer and more inclusive LGBTQ experience on campus. This conference will be attended by many different organizations from Kansas and the neighboring states who are interested in helping the LGBTQ community have a place on their campus. Most of the attendees will be presidents of other sororities, fraternities, and student groups.
Approximately 100 people expected to be in attendance, many of them are not from the immediate area. The women of Gamma Rho Lambda, are looking for accommodations for some of the guests, and hoping your chapter may be interested in serving as over-night hosts. We realize that we would not be able to find a place for all hundred of our guests so we thought that if possible, anyone who was interested in staying on campus could fill out an application. To express you interest, please contact Stephanie by email or at (785) 477-9669.

Greeks cover to cover in latest K-Stater issue
Pick up the most recent K-Stater (Fall 2009 issue), the magazine of the K-State Alumni Association, and you'll see stories about Greeks and by Greeks.
On page 7, the return of Zeta Tau Alpha is highlighted under the headline "Sorority returns after 68 years." Looks like the K-Stater is just as excited for Zeta's recolonization as we are!
Delta Delta Delta's Molly Hamm wrote a four-page feature article for the K-Stater titled "Sustainable K-State." her article highlights projects (such as Greeks Going Green!) making K-State to a more green place!
On page 77 you'll read about K-State Greek Alumna and dedicated volunteer Amy Renz who recently received the Michael C. Holen Leadership Award presented by the School of Leadership Studies at K-State. Anyone knowing Ms. Renz knows she's well deserving of the award! Congratulations Amy!
