Sorority Formal Membership Recruitment
Soroity Formal Membership Recruitment activities will begin August 16th and continue through August 22nd.  During this time both members and potential members are very busy and focused on the recruitment experience, and the fraternity community can do a few things to make it less stressful for the women involved.

1) Do not visit sorority chapter houses or distract the recruitment leaders and participants by talking to them during recruitment activities (recruitment activities last all day and most of the evening and night).

2) Do not harass current members or potential new members.  This includes derogatory statements, inappropriate signage, or any inappropriate behavior directed toward or in the proximity of PNMs.

This is the first experience many women will have with the K-State Greek Community and we need to do our best to ensure they have a positive experience.

be you. be greek. be safe!

As the excitement of a new year approaches, I want to remind chapter leaders to take the proper steps to ensure the safety and security of members.
1)  Make sure your property is secured with working window and door locks.
2)  Encourage your members to utilize safe ride, Designated Drivers, or alternative transportation if they consume alcohol.
3) Make sure your chapter events are closed events, under control, and well monitored.
4)  Fraternities should not have swimming pools on chapter properties.  City Code requires swimming pools to be surrounded by a 4 ft.tall, permanent & lockable fence, which none of our chapter have.  These are also very risky during the night hours when they are not monitored and alcohol enters into the equation.
