Up Til Dawn is a Success
The K-State Up Til Dawn Final event was held on March 6th, 2009 at the Peters Recreation Center, and it was another successful year.  Over 300 students participated in the event which included inflatables, raffles, free food, live bands, and a lot of fun and smiles!  Additionally, K-State Up Til Dawn raised approximatley $120,000.00 this year for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  This years fund raising efforts have increased the K-State 7 year total to $798,223.34. Make sure your chapter participates next year as K-State Up Til Dawn sets a goal to reach the million dollar mark!

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering
work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive

Recognize those who have contributed: Greek Contribution Awards
The K-State Greek Affairs office is now accepting nominations for the Contribution Awards, to be offered at the annual Greek Awards ceremony.  Contributions Awards are offered to individuals for the positive contributions to their self, their chapter, the Greek community and the Manhattan community.  All nominations are to be submitted on the behalf of a chapter by a lead coordinator.  Nominations must be submitted with the brief nominations form attached.  The Greek Affairs staff encourages nomination materials to be creative in their development.  Suggestions for the format of nomination include, but are certainly not limited to letter(s) of recommendation, video montages (youtube clips), CD/electronic presentations, PowerPoint slide shows, product examples (newsletters, articles, photos, etc.), presentation boards.

Successful nominees should have positively contributed to fraternity/sorority members' attainment of the K-State fraternity and sorority values: accountability, diversity, balance, growth, self-actualization, contribution, integrity, knowledge, creativity, relationships, and teamship.

All nominations should be submitted in the Greek Affairs office no later than noon April 6, 2009.

be safe.
The weather is warming up which means students are ready to head outside to celebrate the end of cabin fever.  Please remind your members to make good decisions for themselves and for the chapter. Make sure that chapter decks, fire escapes, and roofs are being utilized for what they were designed.  These can be dangerous locations if members and guests are intoxicated, not allowed access, and if they are not using the structure as it was designed to be used.  We want everyone to have fun, but please be safe and help your members be safe.
