Alpha Phi, Delta Gamma, and Zeta Tau Alpha to visit campus, interested in being newest K-State sorority
Kansas State University's Panhellenic sorority community is inviting three national sororities to campus to be considered as the newest K-State sorority.

"We are so excited to invite representatives from Alpha Phi, Delta Gamma and Zeta Tau Alpha to campus. These three sororities are some of the finest in the country," said Meghan Butler, K-State Panhellenic Council president.

Delta Gamma representatives will visit K-State Wednesday, April 22; Zeta Tau Alpha will visit Thursday, April 23; and Alpha Phi will visit Monday, April 27.

During their campus visit, each sorority will make an open presentation, which will include time for questions, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the K-State Student Union's Forum Hall; and attend a welcome reception, sponsored by K-State Greek affairs and the Panhellenic Council, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Kite's Bar and Grill in Aggieville. The presentations and the receptions are open to the campus community and public. Please invite your sisters to this exciting opportunity!

More information about the sororities under consideration is available at their national Web sites:

Recognize those who have contributed: Greek Contribution Awards
The K-State Greek Affairs office is now accepting nominations for the Contribution Awards, to be offered at the annual Greek Awards ceremony.  Contributions Awards are offered to individuals for the positive contributions to their self, their chapter, the Greek community and the Manhattan community.  All nominations are to be submitted on the behalf of a chapter by a lead coordinator.  Nominations must be submitted with the brief nominations form attached.  The Greek Affairs staff encourages nomination materials to be creative in their development.  Suggestions for the format of nomination include, but are certainly not limited to letter(s) of recommendation, video montages (youtube clips), CD/electronic presentations, PowerPoint slide shows, product examples (newsletters, articles, photos, etc.), presentation boards.

Successful nominees should have positively contributed to fraternity/sorority members' attainment of the K-State fraternity and sorority values: accountability, diversity, balance, growth, self-actualization, contribution, integrity, knowledge, creativity, relationships, and teamship.

All nominations should be submitted in the Greek Affairs office no later than noon April 6, 2009.
