A communication schedule announced by the Panhellenic Council and Greek Affairs Better communication. The number one request from chapters to the Panhellenic Council Board of Directors. Well, the 2009 Board is aiming to answer the call.
Everyother Friday, chapter presidents, delegates and primary chapter advisors can expect to recieve Friday Findings. On the off Friday, all chapter leadership listed on the chapter's ICS officer roster will recieve a similar newsletter. Some information will be for all chapter officers, some specific to a particular officer. The hope is this system will cut down on sparatic emails from the Panehllenic Council, as well as streamline the communication model.
Once a month, begining in February, all Greek students will recieve an electronic copy of NewsGreek. NewsGreek is a all inclusive news and annoucment tool to keep all fraternity and sorority members on the same page. |
All-Sorority Open House, this Sunday! The spring All-Sorority Open House is planned for this Sunday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., as announced last semester. All chapters have committed their participation.
On the day of the Spring Sorority Open House, please expect
a Panhellenic Officer to arrive a few minutes prior to 6:00 p.m. at your chapter
house. This officer will manage registration of PNMs visiting your
chapter. Please welcome these women and allow for them to use a small
space in your entry area.
It is impossible to know how many women will be visiting
your chapter during the Open House. You may have no visitors, or you may
have 20 visitors. Please plan the time and resources of your chapter
accordingly. It is expected your chapter remain open for visitors the
entire scheduled time. Learn how to view applications of interested PNMs on ICS.
A shuttle will be available to transport PNMs from campus
residence halls and between chapter houses.
Please
remember all the ethical obligations your chapter has during recruitment -
please adhere to all "no frills" practices as expected during Formal Membership
Recruitment.
Informational sessions were held this week
to inform PNMs of the spring recruitment process by Danielle Butler, PHC Director of Recruitment - Retention and COB. The event has been marketed to PNMs via a series of
electronic messages and the Greek Affairs website.
Best wishes!

Update your chapter roster! Remember to keep chapter membership rosters up to date on ICS - visit the Greek Affairs webpage to learn how. At the last Panhellenic Council meeting, a Membership Roster Update form was offered to call chapters. Rosters must be updated and verified before membership invitations will be accepted by Greek Affairs. (This is to ensure chapters are in fact eligible to offer membership invitations.) While you're on ICS, update your chapter leadership/chapter officer roster as well if you have not yet! Learn more! |
