Jackson Energy Authority is taking steps to educate customers and the public about compressed natural gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel source. As a first step, we have implemented a natural gas vehicle pilot program. The new light duty truck will be used for light commercial transit.

Learn more about clean energy at the 3rd Annual TREEDC Workshop for area farmers and businesses. The University of Tennessee Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) Management Consultant Warren Nevad and Jackson City Councilman Ernest Brooks II have developed a comprehensive renewable energy education agenda for area businesses. Topics to be explored include farming opportunities for cellulosic ethanol, solar energy, and biomass gasification. A sign-up desk for the TVA Green Power Switch program will also be available.

The Tennessee Titans Caravan will arrive in Jackson on Wednesday, May 2nd at the West TN Healthcare SportsPlex. Fans can get autographs and take their picture with players, Mike Keith "Voice of the Titans" and T-RAC the Titans Mascot. The festivities will begin with a LIVE radio remote from Thomas Media radio stations and a LIVE television show from EPlusTV 6.
 
This is a FREE public event and is sponsored by Jackson Energy Authority and the Rocket 102.3, the official Titans Radio Station.
