Not only are the very large mountains of snow finally melted, but construction on Atlantic Wharf (formerly known as Russia Wharf) is complete. It's deeply satisfying to see a project we were involved in early on finally come to fruition. Keep on reading to learn about the other accomplishments we reached these past few months.

Thomas College
Project Spotlight: Thomas College

Working with Harriman Architects + Engineers, The Cecil Group has been developing a Master Plan for Thomas College, a private, career-oriented College in Waterville, Maine. The college realized that in order to fulfill its mission - preparing students for success in their professional and personal lives and for leadership in their communities - it needed to make some changes to its facilities. With enrollment at just under 1000 people, the campus has been operating at full capacity. In order to advance its strategic vision the college realized significant improvements and investments in new facilities needed to be made over the coming years and that developing a master plan would need to be the first step.

The resulting Master Plan ensures effective alignment of the next phase of investments with the academic mission and campus environment of Thomas College. It creates a coordinated planning and design approach for expansion within the College's Waterville campus over four stages of growth and improvements, including plans for a new library and classrooms, improved dining facilities and student center, new student residences, new academic buildings, new athletic facilities and fields and improved campus circulation and open spaces. To arrive at the vision an inclusive planning process ensured the entire campus and neighboring community were engaged and supportive. The Master Plan was recently presented to the campus community at a campus-wide forum to great approval.
