Wal- Mart Donates $1,000 at Ribbon Cutting

Chamber Gathering Items for Troop Pack
The Chamber's Military Affairs Council is gathering items to send overseas to members of its adopted wing at Tinker, the
3rd Combat Communications Group. The packs will be shipped the week of September 21st. Please bring items to the Chamber offices.
Items needed: Gum, sunflower seeds, hand sanitizer, small drink mix packets, candy that won't melt, beef jerky. A complete list of ideas for the pack is on our web site.

"I asked a bunch of the guys at work what kind of stuff they wanted and here's the list they came up with.
Combos, magazines (fitness, sports, off-road, hunting and fishing), beef jerky, candy, calling cards, dvds (no specific ones listed), gum, cookies, various chips, pens and paper.
We appreciate anything you guys send over. You guys are awesome for thinking of us over here, we appreciate everything."

Member Reward$ Program to Start October 1!
The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce will start a new program to reward members for event attendance and participation. The incentive program, similar to frequent flier miles, will start on October 1, 2009. The main objectives are to retain members and encourage participation at all functions and events. Members can accumulate points for attendance and then be eligible for prize drawings on a monthly or quarterly basis.  The Edmond Chamber will formally announce the program at the September 29th Membership Luncheon. The fourth quarter of 2009 will be used to test the program and will go from October 1, 2009 to December 18, 2009. Points will be awarded for event attendance and committee meeting attendance. Point standings will be in the Wednesday e-news every other week and will also be available for viewing on the Chamber's website. Member point standings will be updated every Friday on the web site. Prizes will be awarded on a monthly and quarterly basis. Members will be eligible for the prize drawings based on their accumulated points. A complete list of point values and program rules are listed on the Chamber's web site at www.edmondchamber.com. |
