Leadership Edmond Apps Now AvailableLE logo
Applications for Leadership Edmond Class XXV are now available on the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce's web site. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2009. Applications must be in by 5 p.m. on July 17, 2009 for the early-bird special.
 
Leadership Edmond is a leadership development program designed to provide community leaders with a deeper understanding of the critical issues affecting the Edmond area. This program also provides an ongoing source of diverse leaders who are prepared and committed to serve as catalysts and sustainers of positive change for the quality of life in the Edmond area. A sponsorship has just come open for the Gold Host sponsor of the August Women's Network Breakfast. The event will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 7:30 - 9a.m. at River Oaks Golf Club.
 
The sponsorship is $500. Sponsor benefits are:
- Company name and logo on event promotional materials

Miller Gives "Green" Presentation at State Chamber Meetinggreen presentation
The bi-annual Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives met last week in Clinton, Oklahoma for their summer conference. Edmond Chamber staff, Lydia Miller, gave a presentation on Chambers leading businesses to go green.
There were about 40 attendees from all across the state.

Get Motivated Seminar Coming June 30 - Now in Two Locations
 
In addition to the Cox Center, the seminar will also be held at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. Both will feature live, in-person speakers.
 
The Get Motivated Seminar featuring legendary motivator Zig Ziglar, former mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani, former first lady Laura Bush, head football coach of the University of Oklahoma Bob Stoops and world famous soldier-statesman General Colin Powell is coming to Cox Convention Center Arena.  The day-long presentation will take place on Tuesday, June 30 from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
 
Additional speakers will include president and CEO of Forbes, Inc. Steve Forbes, the former NFL quarterback Joe Montana, America's most inspirational speaker Dr. Robert Schuller, top sales expert and author of Get Motivated Tamara Lowe and other renowned teachers and motivators. All speakers are live and in-person.
