"Oklahoma Dangerously Close" - Clean Air Forum Held June 17
On June 6, environmental officials issued the first Ozone Alert of the year. This warning signals that the central Oklahoma area is now dangerously close to failing to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's ozone standard, also known as receiving a "non-attainment designation."
If the state of Oklahoma receives a non-attainment designation, it would not only be a health concern, but also a major business concern.
Make plans to join the Central Oklahoma Regional Advocacy Alliance and other leaders in a business forum on the impact of a non-attainment designation for central Oklahoma and its business community.
Wednesday, June 17 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oklahoma Christian University Gaylord University Center (2501 E. Memorial Rd.)
Speakers: Miles Tolbert - Director, Crowe & Dunlevy LeAnne Burnett - Director, Crowe & Dunlevy L. Mark Walker - Director, Crowe & Dunlevy Steven A. Thompson - Executive Director, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Douglas Rex - Transportation Division Director, Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG)
