Hood River Fly-In: September 9-10

WAAAM - Camping under the wing
What is a Fly-In anyway?

Wikipedia defines this as a "pre arranged gathering of aircraft, pilots and passengers for recreational and social purposes".  We think we can sum it up as PLANE FUN!

During the 2010 Annual Hood River Fly-In,  187 planes packed the fields around the WAAAM Museum to bring General Aviation to the forefront of attention in the Gorge.

This year on September 9th, 10th & 11th  we expect 200 planes!

Antiques and twins and those with the new composite airframes

are planning to spend the weekend after Labor Day enjoying the air and auto museum, good food, swapping aviation tales and talking with visitors to WAAAM about their planes.

Click this link 2011 Hood River Fly-In Information to learn more.

Can you help? Volunteers for the weekend are needed in all areas: parking airplanes, pilot registration, ice cream and lunch counter, membership table, admissions, set up, tear down, car/visitor parking attendant, security, recycling, information desk .Email Ken@waaamuseum.org
