Pinwheels for Peace

The first batch of students came strolling out around 8:20 a.m., waving paper pinwheels in the air, seeing whether they would blow in the wind. By 9:30 a.m. most of the pinwheels had been lodged into the front lawn at Dunn Elementary signifying, at least officially, the school's contribution to the worldwide phenomenon known as International Peace Day. | Dunn Elementary third graders Charlotte C., MaKaylee R. and Vicky G. put their pinwheels in place.

Greg Fields was 8 or so when first introduced to weather - a big storm that scared him silly. What made him feel comfortable was reading every weather book he could get his hands on. Bringing Dad to School

Twenty minutes into the first Bring Your Dad to School Day at Young Junior High, the unthinkable occurred. They ran out of donuts.
