Capitol Area South Mission and Vision:
Dr. Hank Stringer, District Superintendent Our Mission:
The Mission of the Capitol Area South District is to encourage and equip United Methodist congregations in their mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our Vision:
The vision of the Capitol Area South District is that all local churches are to be disciple-making centers that mirror the demographic composition of the community in which they are located in terms of age, ethnicity, and cultural background; and that the congregations continually grow and reach new people for Christ and strive to be open and inclusive of all God's children.

Prayer Concerns
Our prayers are with the Rev. Wes Baker and his family in the death of his wife Judy on September 9. We remember the family of the Rev. Roland Perkins (retired) in Roland's death on September 14. The Rev. Gerry Koster was hospitalized last month, but he is home and doing well. The Rev. Sue McClelland is recovering from knee surgery. We remember Ms. Barbara Clark in her death. Barbara was a member of the Crossroads UMC. She was involved in many mission activities at the conference and district levels including the United Methodist Women and the Festival of Sharing for many years. | |
