Dave Carley to receive Maggie Bassett Award for contribution to Ontario theatre
"Our community is much richer because Dave Carley is in it." - Glenda MacFarlane We are thrilled to announce that Theatre Ontario's Maggie Bassett Award for 2012 shall be presented to Dave Carley. The award, for a sustained and significant contribution by an individual to the development of theatre in Ontario, recognizes Dave's generosity, mentorship, and artistic and professional achievements. Peterborough Theatre Guild wins Elsie for Outstanding Festival Production 2012 Congratulations to Peterborough Theatre Guild who were awarded the Elsie for Outstanding Production at the 2012 Theatre Ontario Festival for their production of The Mouse House - a world premiere production by Robert Ainsworth.
As recounted during our Theatre Ontario Festival Awards Live-Blog, the choice was greeted with a standing ovation at the Awards Brunch, the finale of a terrific week celebrating Ontario community theatre.

Thanks for joining us at our Annual Meeting
We thank everyone who was able to join us for our 2012 Theatre Ontario Annual General Meeting. Attendees heard an enthusiastic keynote address from Autumn Smith calling on us to have authentic conversations, learned about the Arts Workers Health Insurance Program, and welcomed our new Board of Directors for 2012-2013.
