Welcome to Chris Hackett We're pleased to introduce Chris Hackett, our new Membership Clerk at Theatre Ontario. Chris has a strong education in theatre in Windsor, Ontario and Plymouth, England, with experience in performance, production, house management and "simply being an audience member."
"I am excited to join Theatre Ontario," said Chris. "I look forward to working with our membership base to help provide a better Theatre Ontario experience."

Planning your summer theatre training experience We have an exciting line-up of courses and instructors for our 2011 Summer Theatre Intensive in Waterloo. Running August 7 to 13, our week-long courses will focus on scene study, introduction and advanced directing, musical theatre, Shakespeare, with a bonus one-day course on "marketing on a shoestring."

Festival 2011 Lineup Has Now Been Set
The four theatres that will be participating in the 2011 Theatre Ontario Festival in Richmond Hill have been announced. Whitby Courthouse Theatre, Espanola Little Theatre, Kingston's Domino Theatre, and Theatre Windsor will each take the stage as part of our celebration of community theatre in Ontario. Time to apply for the 2012 Neil Munro Intern Directors Project at The Shaw
Each year, the Shaw Festival hires two Intern Directors for a period of about six months. They look for promising professional directors near the beginning of their careers. Applicants should have a fair bit of professional experience, but probably not in a company as large as the Shaw Festival. The application deadline is June 30.
