As this issue "goes to press", we are very close to launching our re-designed website. Members will receive information on how to access our new "members only" section, while the public will benefit from improved listings, navigation, and a fresher, modern look.
Unfortunately, when the new site is launched, it means that links to specific pages on our current website will no longer function. Some of the links in this newsletter won't work after launch, but we think that the new navigation will make that a minor inconvenience for you. If you encounter difficulties, please contact Brandon Moore, Communications Coordinator, at news@theatreontario.org or 416.408.4556 x.15. |

Inviting YTTP Applications For Fall 2010
Theatre Ontario is now inviting applications for the October 15, 2010 deadline for the Youth Theatre Training Program (YTTP), funded by the Ontario Arts Council.
The YTTP provides training dollars to fund accessible theatre programs involving youth aged 14 to 21. YTTP assists Ontario organizations that wish to undertake projects providing training to youth in various theatrical skills and disciplines, lead by professional theatre artists.
Read all about the Youth Theatre Training Program on the Theatre Ontario website. After reading the YTTP guidelines, applicants are encouraged to contact Tim Chapman, Professional Theatre Coordinator ( tim@theatreontario.org or 416.408.4556 x.12) regarding your application.

Next Self-Start Session Our first "Self-Start" session of the Fall has been scheduled for October 13, from 2pm to 4pm. If you want to do a show but have never produced before, and if you want to know what questions to ask first, this session is for you! Self-Start is a practical seminar facilitated by Tim Chapman, Professional Theatre Coordinator, and sometimes featuring special guests. This workshop is designed for individuals thinking of starting a theatre company or producing a show; and gives you the opportunity to ask questions and try out ideas, discover the questions you need to ask and answer, learn to organize your thinking and planning, work on scheduling and budget considerations, and learn about available resources and services. Theatre critics, personalities, members of arts service and funding organizations unite in this once-in-a-lifetime event. Our John Goddard and Tim Chapman are among the participants. |
From Our Blog 7 Days In Ontario Theatre, my weekly round-up of interesting events, opinion, opportunities, etc. will be back in mid-September, but you can always catch-up on previous posts. |
