FILLET DEMONSTRATION
At high noon on Thursday I will demonstrate my tricks and shortcuts on how to clean, fillet, cut up (100% bone-free!), and COOK a salmon (that's right, FREE SAMPLES!!!).  Carl Billington will be filming the event to create a You-Tube video that Maureen will post on our blog, so it will always be available to view.  This is your chance to see a firsthand, real-life fillet demonstration (if you want a demo in the future I'll just refer you to our blog).

BUTCHER PAPER
I have always hated using plastic bags in selling my fish, so now I am adding the OPTION of taking your fish home in butcher paper, which is completely biodegradable and not made of petro-chemicals.  I'll still have my fish bags available, but if you want to go green with your local fisherman, give the butcher paper a try!

IN-SEASON UPDATE
The chum season is going well.  It started off good up here in the Salmon Banks when I caught a couple hundred fish, all of which I sold to the residents of San Juan and Orcas Island.  Fishing slowed in this area so I moved my program down to Seattle, which is where I will be catching these fish.  After Halloween I plan on bringing the boat back up this way and scratching up the tale end of the run around the islands.

Hope to see you on Thursday
P.S. Kallari Chocolate is BACK!
Beautiful handmade chocolate bars of quality from a cooperative where 100% of profits go back to the farmers. kallari logo

I just wanted to let everyone know that we finally have the finest chocolate in the world back in the shop.  You now have the option to ingest chocolate without the fumigant methyl bromide.  Isn't is nice to think you can enjoy the benefits of this wonderful natural anti-oxidant without the worry of ingesting a nasty chemical?  Click on the logo to the right to be directed to Kallari's website.  You will be glad you took the time to learn more about this cooperative.  They are on the cutting edge!

Sincerely,

Matt and Maureen Marinkovich
