Compost It
Greetings!

I have three things for you this time.  First there is a feed order for next week.  Orders due by this Friday (July 10, 2009).  I have ordered more chicks because there continues to be a demand.   Chicks will be here tomorrow (July 8, 2009) first thing in the morning.  The last thing is the sad tale of a busted blog that we need help with.  Read on for more interesting details.  Please forward this email to any interested parties.

A Sad Tale With No Head
You arrive home.  You notice something amiss.  You can't put your finger on it.  Then you realize the chickens are scattered.  A pile of feathers next to the side of the driveway finally drives reality home.  You have been hit by predation.  You park the car and start barking out orders to the children who by now know the drill.  Find the remaining live chickens scared brainless, hiding in grass and bushes.  Walking down the trail, you find Ruby still slightly warm.  You figure it all happened within the last thirty minutes. Wake up, Ruby! Ruby, Wake Up!

Help Needed for a Busted Blog
Reaching out to our community for help local teeshirt with red heart
I don't know if any of you ever visited our blog, www.slowfoodlandandsea.blogspot.com but it was a GREAT resource for all things agricultural for our local community.  Linda Degnan Cobos put in HOURS of her personal time because she cares about sustaining and promoting local agriculture.  She had us all linked up.   Well, someone flagged this site over and over as spam and now the site is no longer available.  It is gone.  Poof.  Isn't that terrible?  Wasn't it silly for someone to do that?  I am asking if anyone has any knowledge of how to get our blog back.  We would really appreciate it.

I would like all the local vendors who sell their wonderful merchandise in our shop to please email me a photo of you with your local product.  I would like to feature all of you in an email.  If you do this for me, it will greatly help me move on this project.  Let's let our local islanders know about all your wonderful items available.  P.S.  I also sent this email out to a larger audience because I want everyone to know that there really is a growing inventory of locally-made items and it is simply super.  Plus, I really am concerned about our extensive blog that has vanished into thin air and I am hoping someone knows someone at Google who can help.  This is the link to nowhere-- www.slowfoodlandandsea.blogspot.com.  Please do our community a tremendous favor by forwarding this on to someone who can help!

Sincerely,

Maureen Marinkovich
