A Life Touched
Eli's* was a life filled with loss. Both of his parents died of HIV/AIDS. He and his siblings then moved to live with an elder brother. Unfortunately, Eli's sister-in-law (wife to the brother) sent him and the other children away and then burned the hut so that they couldn't return to live.
Eli was finally brought to Restoration Gateway where he is now prospering with new friends. He is being cared for by a mom here at RG and lives in a loving environment.
Eli is now in Primary 2 (second grade) at RG. After school he enjoys playing checkers with his friends. Eli's favorite sport is football (known as soccer in the U.S.), and he is a great player. He's also fond of basketball and volleyball.
Eli's was a life of loss; but now he has hope for a bright future. Please pray that he will continue to grow in all the ways that God desires for him. Join us in thanking God for redeeming Eli's life.

New Missionary Family Arrives
The Cessnun family moved to RG in January, 2012. Colby and Mary Anne, along with their children Thomas, Sarah, Ben, Anna, Samuel and Joy, are a family full of anticipation of the hand of God moving in the hearts and lives of those in Uganda and Restoration Gateway.
Colby, a family practice physician, comes to serve at RG with a medical emphasis and a heart to follow as God opens doors and as needs arise. The Cessnuns left their farming home in Texas in mid-January and are committing to at least two years with RG. Mary Anne is in her second year of homeschooling and is excited to share in the adventure and journey alongside Colby. Dr. Cessnun finished his family practice residency in 2007 and worked for the Waco Family Health Center.
The Cessnuns are excited to be part of this great work of the Lord. They come to RG from Cottonwood Baptist Church in Lorena, Texas.
