We are so thankful for you and the part you have played in the redemptive work of northern Uganda through Restoration Gateway! Though the ministry is still in its infancy, God has already touched many lives in this region of Uganda and beyond through your generosity and prayer support.

It would be our desire to have the ability and time to sit down and share with you the many testimonies of God's transforming power here in East Africa. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be in the midst of this God-ordained work, and we delight in having you partner with us.

A Life Touched

In September 2000 a very young Sandra* lost both her mother and father, as the LRA burned her home while both her parents were inside. Sandra escaped with a grandparent, who later died, and she was sent to live with an uncle.

When Sandra arrived at Restoration Gateway in 2010, the top of her head had scars from carrying heavy loads on her head. Before school each day Sandra was forced to trek far to pump and carry over 40 liters of water on her head.

On the first day that Sandra came to RG, we realized that she hardly knew how to interact and play with other children. She had been forced to work so hard that she immediately began to help with cooking, sweeping, washing, and other chores. We had to teach her that she could now play with the other children at RG.

Sandra is now gaining confidence and is enjoying life at Restoration Gateway. She has a sweet spirit and a heart to serve others. Join us in thanking God for rescuing Sandra and making a way for her to live at RG. God's plans for her are great, and we see them unfolding day by day.

Dental Center Update

Thank for your generosity!!

More than $53,000 has been donated for the Dental Center in the last four months. Christian Mission Concerns foundation has already given RG half of the $100,000 matching grant as well. This is a wonderful start and should make it possible to complete the dental center in 2012.

Collecting Clothes, Tools & Books

A container of equipment and supplies will be shipped to RG soon. There is still room for much-needed items though. We are collecting clothes for boys and girls (shirts, shorts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes, etc.) sizes 5-12, as well as donations of new or good used children's books. Good clean adult books are also welcome for the library. Additionally, new or good used hand tools are needed for construction and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles at RG.

We are also collecting items for the Dental Center. Contact us about donating new or quality used dental equipment. A specific request is for a hand held digital x-ray unit.

In order to facilitate the shipping of the container, we request that donations be received by Friday, February 10. If you would like to donate any of these items, please contact Shoan Holley at (254) 733 - 4392 or sholley@restorationgateway.org.

Praise God:

Our 72 RG orphans are healthy and have begun the first school term of 2012 eager to learn.
RG staff are committed to raising our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
We have favor with government officials and leaders in Uganda.

Please Pray:

Pray for several families who are planning to move to Restoration Gateway this year.
Pray for each of our children to know Jesus, be discipled, and disciple others.
Pray for funds to continue to come in for the Dental Center as well as for other parts of the vision.
