Dan's Story
12-year-old Dan* and his two brothers came to Restoration Gateway in 2009 and were the first orphans to live at RG. Having been abandoned by their mother years earlier and left with a mentally disturbed father, the three boys had been fending for themselves. As we heard about their story from a Restoration Gateway employee our hearts were drawn to find the boys.
Dan is becoming a leader at RG and is doing well in school, even though he had never attended school before. He has accepted Jesus personally and has a heart eager to know God. Please continue to pray for Dan as he grows in all that God has for him. Pray for boldness as he disciples others and is an example to younger children at RG.

Christmas Gifts update
In October we shared the opportunity to help give the children Christmas gifts of black leather school shoes that they have wanted for a long time. Many people responded, and we now have enough for all of our orphans to get new shoes for Christmas! Thank you so much to all who gave to this fund. The children will be so excited to receive their school shoes.

Empowerment
Denis was abducted by the LRA as a teen. His testimony of God's miraculous protection is amazing, as friends near him were wounded or killed. Denis escaped from his captors and moved across the Nile to safety. Now he works for RG as a painter. This income allows him to provide for his wife, baby and niece. There are so many Ugandans like Denis that simply need a little help in order to support themselves and their families. We are committed to developing ways to empower northern Ugandans.
