NO MORE RAINDROPS INSIDE WITH THE NEW Y ROOF! | | |
No more raindrops will be falling
on the heads of the children and adults using the Middlesex Family YMCA's Program Center in Hartfield because the new roof is installed. Buzz Lambert, Branch Director, said, "We are extremely grateful for the generous donation from Jeffrey Arrowsmith that allowed us take on this project. I especially want to commend the crews from Walden Construction, Chief Contractor, and William E. Moye & Son Heating and Cooling for their work in snow and very cold weather that enabled us to complete the work in record time. Now, classes and meetings have resumed, and the building blends in beautifully with the rest of our campus."
"Our Board continues to identify facility improvements that we must undertake to meet the requirements of our expanding membership," Lambert noted. An average of more than 500 people, including local children, attend classes, exercise and participate in activities that involve use of the Program Center on a weekly basis. The YMCA ensures that all members of the community are able to participate in programs or membership through the Guardian Program, which awarded over $75,000 in scholarships in 2010.
