Donor Spotlight: Steve's Mirror & Glass
Did you know it costs Habitat approximately $85,000 to construct each home? In-kind donations, discounted services, donated lots, and volunteer labor help keep costs down. In this new monthly feature, we will be profiling area businesses that partner with Habitat to help make the dream of home ownership possible.
There are only a handful of people who can say that they have been involved on every Habitat build. Among this elite group of generous folks is a local business: Steve's Mirror and Glass. Since Habitat built its first house in the Quad Cities, Steve's Mirror and Glass has been an invaluable supporter and donor.
Donating mirrors and shower doors, Steve's Mirror and Glass helps keep down the cost of building Habitat homes, which, in turn, keeps the homes affordable for partner families.
Located at 2730 State Street in Bettendorf, Steve's Mirror and Glass sells mirrors and shower enclosures. Whether it's a new or remodeled home, Steve's Mirror and Glass has products to fit the need.

The End Is in Sight!
Volunteers, donors, businesses, and foundations have come together to help build a new home for Habitat. Currently, we have $80,000 left to raise!
 | |
Habitat's first campaign began in 2009 with a goal to raise $760,000 to fund the purchase and renovation of a new office and warehouse. |
Habitat is looking to its most dedicated supporters to help finish the campaign, so it can increase its capacity and further its mission.
Thanks to the cost-saving benefits of the new office and warehouse, the cost of building each Habitat house will decrease.
Please consider making a gift to Habitat.
To find out more or to learn about ways to support the campaign, contact Debbie Jackson at (563) 359-9066. |
