Upcoming Groundbreaking and Dedication
Habitat house #66, located at 1224 Mississippi in Davenport, will be dedicated this Saturday, June 5 at 10:00 AM for Lorenzo Bonazzi and  his daughter Lilliana.
Each Habitat house costs $75,000 to construct. Sponsorship for Lorenzo's home was provided by Alcoa, the city of Davenport HOME Funds, the Scott County Housing Council, and I-Jobs.The home's construction was supervised by Alcoa's own Chuck Buel and longtime Habitat volunteer Jim Miller.
At noon, we will break ground on house #68, located at 805 East 6th in Davenport, for the Vanessa Stone partner family. This home's construction will be supervised by Dan Mizner and Thomas Leitch. Sponsorship for the home is provided by Scott County Housing Council, Wells Fargo, and Genesis Health Systems.
All volunteers and Habitat supporters are welcome to attend both events! |

Sponsors Needed
Habitat needs your help! The new build season is upon us, and Habitat is searching for businesses interested in sponsoring a Habitat house. Sponsorships are available for homes in Davenport and Rock Island. We still need to raise $90,000 to pay for the 6 homes we hope to complete this year.

House Updates
 House #67: 1106 Ripley, Davenport Construction Supervisors Don Hiesterman and David Bloom are putting up siding. later this month, they will move inside and begin interior work.
House #68: 805 East 6th Street, Davenport
Construction Supervisors Dan Mizner and Thomas Leitch will be framing and roofing this month. |

Construction Supervisors Don Heisterman and John Kessler will be travelling to Cedar Rapids to represent our affiliate. Don and John will be supervising the construction of a house in the flood-damaged Cedar Rapids area.
All of the spotsfor airport greeters have been filled for the Saturday, June 12 welcome to the Americorps volunteers who will be en route to Cedar Rapids. Thank you for your quick responses! |
