3.0 testing is going well, and a general release is approaching.  In this month's newsletter, we will give you more information on reporting in Enterprise, features for 3.0 that everyone will get, and a trade show where we will be exibiting.
International Christian Retail Show 2012     

The International Christian Retail Show 2012 is from July 15th through the 18th in Orlando, Florida, and as usual we have a booth.  This year, we're at booth 242.

Stop by and see our Kiosk, including a preview of Enterprise edition and an example of a custom-built kiosk that you could use for customer kiosks.
3.0 Features         

In addition to the new Enterprise support, there are a number of features coming in 3.0:
  • Recurring invoices, allowing you to charge customers daily, weekly, monthly, or annually.
  • Customer Bonus Points on a 1 per item or 1 per dollar basis.
  • Additional discount card features, allowing a prompt for renewal and the ability to apply cards without having the card number for customers with cards.
  • USB barcode printing for the Bixolon and Zebra printers
  • No sale slip for USB receipt printers on using 'open cash drawer' function.
  • Quick Items feature (see below)  
Quick Items     

In 3.0, we're adding a new option that will allow for you to quickly add commonly used items to the invoice, without needing a barcode to scan.  This can be useful for small items that do not have barcodes on them, such as drinks or small snacks, or for items that are impractical to scan for some reason.  It is particularly useful for customers with touch screens, as the screens are designed with these devices in mind.

To add items to the list of quick items, which appear with up to 20 on a page and can be paged between, go to tools -> Manage Quick Items from the invoice screen.  Items may be added and reordered here.

To use the list, hit the Quick Items button, next to the lookup button.  You can page back and forth if you have more than 20 items on the list using the next and previous buttons.  Much like Lookup, this screen will take the tradeins and used checkboxes on the invoice screen into account.
Enterprise Reporting       

One of the most useful functions of Enterprise is going to be reporting across multiple stores.  The first release of Enterprise will contain the following reports:
  • Inventory total stock
  • Inventory stock by store
  • Customer list 
  • Customer account balances
  • Customer transactions and account reconciliation
  • Gift card balances
  • Gift card transactions and reconciliation
  • Top spending customers
  • Store sales totals
More reports are already planned for future updates.

We will be closed Wednesday, July 4th for Independence Day. 


For customers on an update plan, the most recent version of the software is 2.09.0015.
