Greetings!
We know you're busy this time of year, so we'll keep this newsletter short and sweet, with happy news and a few reminders for your month ahead.
|
Seasonal Projections
Good news - retail groups are projecting that sales will be up this year about two and a half percent.
Of course, projections aren't a guarantee of the future, but they tend to be within a percent or so. In addition to that, the economy as a whole has grown about 2% over the last year, so news has started to turn towards the brighter side from the malaise of 2008 and 2009.

Upcoming Features - Inventory Device Update
Among other features coming out in the near future is a couple of new uses for the Cipherlab 8000 series mobile batch scanner.
In order to make these devices more useful on a daily basis, we're adding the ability to add items to purchase orders and vendor returns, and to receive items on purchase orders, from these devices.

Mercury Gift Cards
Those on the latest version with ExtremePOS Payment now have the ability to use gift cards from Mercury. These cards differ from the internal gift cards, but it is possible to use both on the same system.
The primary benefit of using Mercury gift cards is that a customer can use the card at any of your stores, unlike the internal gift cards which are only valid at the issuing store.
If you are a 2.9 customer with ExtremePOS Payment, and are interested in using Mercury Gift Cards, please contact your Mercury representative for more information.
