Hi Guys, Its June already i cant believe its June, this year is speeding by. So how many of you have reached your summer goals, you know the one's you set in January, where you declared that this summer you are going to wear the bikini or the shorts. Are you ready for the bikini or shorts? or did something get in the way. Well there is always next year RIGHT? WRONG!!! there is no time like the present, how many times have you started the diet and fitness plan on Monday, "i had a bad weekend but i will start Monday" I bet if you added up the total amount of times you have said this or said I want to lose weight and made the total relate to pounds i bet most of us could have lost at least 20 pounds this year so far!!! So how many of you suffer with Bloating. You just never seem to achieve the flat belly:
To beat this you are going to have make a few adjustments to what you eat.
Limit or avoid the following
WHEAT, more to the point Gluten, which is found in wheat. Gluten is found in Rye, Oats, and Barley. Gluten is a stick substance with a glue like consistency. Gluten is difficult to digest and can upset the digestive system, producing Bloating, Gas and Toxins. DAIRY, or more to the point Lactose. ARE YOU LACTOSE INTOLERANT? Many people suffer from lactose intolerance, Lactose is the sugar naturally found in dairy products. FIZZY DRINKS, the Gas in these drinks settle in the stomach and can get trapped in the intestines creating bloating, plus the artificial sugars in these drinks add to this by increasing bloating. read more |
| Exercise of the month: |
The most effective way to lose weight, is interval training.
A study was then done at Physical Activities Sciences Laboratory, Laval University, Quebec, Canada, and challenged the common belief among health professionals that low-intensity, long-duration exercise is the best program for fat loss. They compared the impact of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise and high-intensity aerobics on fat loss.
The bottom line was that the low intensity group burned more calories during their workouts almost twice as many.
But the high intensity group got 9 times more fat loss benefit for every calorie burned while exercising.
How did this happen? Compared to moderate-intensity endurance exercise, high- intensity intermittent exercise causes more calories and fat to be burned following the workout. They also said it may be that appetite is suppressed more following intense intervals.
The high intensity training raises the metabolic rate causing you to burn more calories after your training is long over with.
For n example of interval training try this:
Sprint as hard as you can for 20 seconds
Walk for 10 seconds
Repeat 7 more times for a total of 8 sets.
So what you have is a total of 4 minutes workout time.
You can use so many exercises this way, Be warned it is intense but really works.
