Drummer from The Peacheaters and Matt Abts To Be Interviewed by WZLX's Carter Alan

Sending out BIG thanks to Carter Alan from Boston's 100.7 WZLX as he'll be having Alec Antobenedetto, drummer from The Peacheaters, in the studio for a recorded interview and a phone call interview to Matt Abts about the upcoming Planet of the Abts shows on the East Coast. Carter will later air the show on his Sunday morning blues program (tentatively set for Sun. Nov 20th) plus add it to their website at!  Stay tuned!

With over 1.5 million downloads, the Grammy-nominated rock band Gov't Mule is legendary, and now two of its members have formed a new adventure: Planet of the Abts (POA). Each player highly-accredited in his own right, POA combines three powerful and extraordinary musicians: Gov't Mule's renowned drummer Matt Abts, bassist Jorgen Carlsson, also of Gov't Mule, and guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist T-Bone Andersson. In June 2011, POA performed their much anticipated debut show in Los Angeles and released an advance copy, limited edition CD recorded by acclaimed British engineer Steve Holroyd. With Pink Floydish shimmering soundscapes to full-throttle rock and roll that combines the raw power of the Stooges with Electric Ladyland musicianship, POA's studio recordings take the listener on a musical journey. The band's live shows have proven that they sound just as powerful and multi-layered in the flesh as they do on record.

The Peacheaters: An Allman Brothers Experience

From "Ain't Wastin' Time No More" to "Whippin' Post", The Peacheaters dig deep into more than three decades of Allman Brothers Band music and deliver an experience that keeps the vibe alive. Twin guitar melodies, a powerful percussion section, a Hammond B3 organ, and lots of bottom-end seamlessly mesh to deliver the authentic ABB sound. The band's improvisational skills and love for the jam make every song feel as fresh as the first time you heard them. Every show features a unique set list that always includes surprises. In the tradition of the Allman Brothers Band, they never do the same show twice and guarantee their audience a new and rockin' experience every time they take the stage. The Peacheaters also deliver powerful original material. Their debut CD, "Money Don't Beat the Blues," receives regional and international airplay.

Brendan Kelley Band
Brendan Kelley was born in Sutton, Massachusetts. A self taught musician, Brendan fought off the small town's bordom by pounding away on drums, piano, and guitars, quickly becoming prolific on each. Inspired by the music of Johnny Lang, John Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Brendan's guitar and music became his escape, and his dream to share with the world just couldn't wait any longer.  At age 18 Brendan moved to Austin Texas to pursue his career as a singer-songwriter. There he worked with producers David Messier and Andre Cantave. His debut album "Music From The Motion Picture" was written in just 72 hours, and recorded, mixed and released within two months.   To date Brendan has worked with Johnny Lang, Grammy award-winning producers Andrew Ramsey and Shannon Sanders, and is now fronting his own six piece band, sculpting dynamic nuances intriguing the most discerning audiences. Brendan's voice can transform a room into a juke-joint, to a rock hall, to a church, then back again. His songs, stage presence, and guitar are speaking from a soul, full of musical tradition far beyond his years.

Corky Laing & The Memory Thieves

Legendary drummer Corky Laing and his band of Memory Thieves take you on a mind-blowing musical journey through time, performing hits Laing wrote, recorded and performed with the band Mountain and trio West, Bruce & Laing--rock anthems like "Mississippi Queen", "Nantucket Sleighride", and "The Doctor".  The Memory Thieves also beat the drum of pulsing modern rock with edgy, newly-minted originals to deliver an unforgettable show where past meets present and nothing gets old.

Nick Moss
Chicago blues is now synonymous with guitarist Nick Moss. Though the golden era of Chicago blues is long past with many of its key players deceased or retired, this young Chicagoan stands tallest in the current generation of blues performers that honor the letter and spirit of the great urban African-American music. No less than Jimmy Rogers saw Nick as a protégé, a torchbearer, and a colleague. Leading Chicago-style guitarist Buddy Guy sanctions his talent: "Nick Moss is one of the local favorites at my club, Legends. I always enjoy the way he plays and works hard to please our audience". Noted Chicago-based music journalist Bill Dahl, never one for gratuitous praise, has raved over Nicks guitar playing, saying he possesses mastery of the classic Chicago sound, while acclaimed blues producer Dick Shurman numbers himself among Nicks ever-growing legion of admirers, calling his Windy City neighbor "an increasingly centered artist who can rightly be called a master".  Leading his raucous band the Flip Tops, Moss pursues a sound that is as unique as it is familiar. With plenty of blistering fretwork and wild blasts of harp, Moss and his crew deliver a joyous brand of pure houserockin' blues.
