THE WAFFLE STOMPERS
Upbeat, Post-Ska Punk
Post-Ska band, The Waffle Stompers, hails from the New Jersey music scene with the intent to create great music and put on an explosive live show for the rest of forever. Forever hasn't necessarily happened yet, but the past years have shown signs that they may actually have what it takes to achieve that goal.
Consisting of 6 members, the group has taken from a wide spectrum of influences to inspire a style of music that is both unique and refreshingly honest. Their intricate horn and vocal arrangements reflect their hard work and devotion, while the rhythm section blends the in-your-face feel of rock and roll with the electricity of punk rock and ska. Each live show reflects their belief that heart and energy are the foundation of a musical community. Ask any fan or friend of the band; they'll tell you who brings it every single night.
In the past few years, the band's incredible focus got them performing on the Vans Warped Tour and Get Heard Fest, and sharing the stage with bands like Reel Big Fish, The English Beat, RX Bandits, Catch 22, and Big D and the Kids Table as well as independently touring the East Coast and Midwest in support of their music.
Their hard work caught the attention of New Jersey's Danimal Records, and in an agreement that focuses on embracing their sound and grass roots promotion, The Waffle Stompers signed with the label. On February 1, 2011, they released the first two singles, fan-favorite 'Serious' and all-new 'Tired of It' produced by John Collura (The Ataris) and Paul Carabello.
The message is clear...The Waffle Stompers put their hearts into everything they do, and they'll never let go of the music. OR the dancing. The boys can dance!

 THE RUDENESS
Power Ska with Reggae Overtones
The Rudeness are a group of veteran musicians who have toured the country, written hit singles, had music published for national media outlets and have blown away fans for years. Now, armed with new tunes, a new sound and a mission to once again take it to the next level, The Rudeness are ready to blow you away once again!
The Rudeness was originally conceived while the band toured the Mid-West on Vans Warped Tour a few years back. At the time, The Rudeness were a full on Pop/Punk band called M-80. That band accomplished plenty, including national touring, national distribution, national publishing deals and a huge fan base, all of which were gained as an independent artist. Their releases "Put Down The BB Gun" and "Don't Take It Away" are still available.
The boys were feeling tired of playing Pop/Punk and looking to get back to their musical roots. Having all come from the coastal region of Rhode Island, Reggae and Ska are a huge influence on their musical taste.
Rhode Island has a little known hot spot where surfers go to listen to Reggae and Ska music. It's a bar called the Ocean Mist and it sits right on the Atlantic Ocean. There is a point break just beyond the back deck of the bar. You'd think you were in Hawaii if you stumbled in there and you might see the likes of Eek-A-Mouse, Buju Banton or Sizzla performing on any given night. That club holds the sound and the true spirit of what The Rudeness are about.
The boys longed to calm things down and get back to the sounds they remember while hanging out at the Ocean Mist. This year the boys finally formed The Rudeness and they don't plan to look back. Armed with a brand new 5 song EP Produced by Scott Begin (Scotty Don't / Badfish), The Rudeness are ready to take it to the next level once again.

 RISING TRIBE
Island Alternative
Rising Tribe is a high-energy, feel-good band that plays Island Alternative music--a funky mix of original Reggae, Pop, Rock and Ska tunes. Raised in St. Thomas, lead singer Tiffany Gassett's songwriting and vocals have a unique island flare and their tribal rhythms and catching melodies get crowds dancing and singing along all night. Memorable and relatable, poetic lyrics fuse with funky bass lines, driving percussion, and intense vocals to create the Tribe sound. The band is working on its second album titled, "Live Up" and is set to release singles to fans in the coming months.

 TASTE OF CHAINS
Energetic, Alternative Rock with Elements of Classic Rock, Folk, and Ambient
Taste of Chains is an energetic 4-piece alternative rock band that hails from Blackstone, MA. They have collectively been together for 5-6 years and play mostly hard rock with classic rock influences but sometime deter down a folk or ambient rock path. When experiencing their music, you will hear diverse influences of Collective Soul, Alice in Chains, and The Beatles.

Rocklawn (formerly Green Castle) is an Attleboro-based, popular pop-rock/alt-rock band with a solid local following. Influenced by great alternative rock bands of the 90s such as Live, Third Eye Blind, Candlebox, and Silverchair to name a few, these four talented, hard-working musicians in Rocklawn write songs that are both edgy and uplifting, and they perform them solidly with amazing precision and power. This band is destined to go places! |

 EVAN KATZ
Original, Acoustic-Rock
Evan Katz is a Hopkinton High School senior, and has recently branched out of Hopkinton with his music. He typically performs solo with just his guitar and voice, but has also played in local bands and duos. Last year, Evan started his own guitar lesson business and now teaches over 10 students, ranging from young kids to adults. Outside of music, his interests include sports (Evan is the Hopkinton High Varsity lacrosse goalie and loves to rock climb and snowboard), writing, and being outdoors. Last year, Evan spent five months in Costa Rica on a semester abroad, living with a host family and attending a local spanish-speaking high school.
This aspiring young musician hopes to release an album of his original songs in the next year so keep an eye and ear out! When listening to Evan's original material, you will hear influences of today's popular artists Dave Matthews and John Mayer plus hints of the 60s and 70s classics.
