Greetings!

Escape the cold winter's chill, gather your friends, and step in to the warmth of the Harvest Cafe this Saturday, January 22nd to check out the sounds of singer/songwriter Kathy Lindsey!

You'll be mesmerized by this gal's guitar pickin' and smooth vocals. Enjoy a night filled with great classic folk-rock covers as well as some of Kathy's original tunes.  No cover charge.  All-ages welcome!

The Harvest Cafe is a great place to check out live music.  Part of the cafe's mission is to provide a community space for local artists. Beginning modestly in 2003, they hosted literature readings for Hudson High School's Creative Writing class. Since then, Harvest Café has expanded its offerings, including art exhibits and openings, poetry, and musical performances.

Kathy will be performing Saturday evening from 8pm to 10pm.  What a great night of live acoustic music this will be in a toasty, intimate setting!  Be sure to come hungry--the food at the Harvest Cafe is scrumptious!

Please stop by the Café and support the local arts scene!

Sincerely,
Sky and Buck Weir

"Representing The Finest in Talent Today!"
Kathy Lindsey
Kathy Lindsey has been influenced by the talents of her father, an accomplished jazz musician, and with his guidance she learned to read and write music when she was only 8 years old. In her early teens, she began her musical career playing guitar and singing in various local talent and variety shows. Having grown up in a musical family, it wasn't long before she joined an all-female rock band back in the early 1970s and was touring the Northeast Coast at the young age of 16.

Inspired by the sounds of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Judy Collins, Kathy decided that solo work would give her the freedom to express her creativity while developing a style of her own. Soothing vocals, along with her unique and intricate style of guitar-picking are reminiscent of the artists and era from which she draws inspiration. Whether it be traditional folk music, classic rock, blues or her original songs, this professional entertainer with her warm stage presence, makes the music she plays her very own.

"Good food in historic Wood Square"

Harvest Café came to life in October, 2002, when co-owners Karen Freker and Pippa Jollie left corporate life and embarked on a new adventure dedicated to entrepreneurship, community, and the arts.

Today, Harvest Café has evolved into a meeting place for the Hudson community, dedicated to fresh food prepared simply, locally roasted coffees and fine imported teas. All of these are provided in a comfortable easy environment that welcomes everyone.

Hudson is rich in history and art of all kinds, and the customers and staff at Harvest Café provide a focal point for the local arts scene. We support local artists in a variety of ways - by providing space on our walls for visual artists, by coordinating a schedule of music performers, and by hosting poetry and literature reading for local clubs and schools.
