RISING TRIBE
Island Alternative

Rising Tribe is a high-energy, feel-good band that plays Island Alternative music--a funky mix of original Reggae, Pop, Rock and Ska tunes.

Raised in St. Thomas, lead singer Tiffany Gassett's songwriting and vocals have a unique island flare and their tribal rhythms and catching melodies get crowds dancing and singing along all night.

Memorable and relatable, poetic lyrics fuse with funky bass lines, driving percussion, and intense vocals to create the Tribe sound.

The band is working on its second album titled, "Live Up" and is set to release singles to fans in the coming months.

THE WOLFMAN CONSPIRACY

Power Reggae, Funk, and Afro-beat

Amherst's Wolfman Conspiracy is kind of a surprise...a reggae band with a bit of a growl in its throat. There's a low, gravelly funk that underscores the band's island-inspired groove and gives an edge to a genre that's often made milquetoast in American hands. The low growl in the music is echoed by the growl in singer Dom Mazzolli's voice, a nice counterpoint to brassy, inherently upbeat trumpets. The overall effect is engaging and a lot of fun.

The Wolfman Conspiracy is a boisterous and flamboyant caravan of power.  Taking to the stage like a pack of wolves, The Wolfman Conspiracy has plenty of groove, and this is to be taken literally.  People find it impossible not to dance. From their first song until the encore, the band sweeps the crowd off their feet.

A "power-reggae" band by their own dubbing, the local eight-piece is comparable to other bands with a reggae foundation, except the Wolfmen have their own recipe.  Keyboardist Nick Gingras's weapon of choice is the Hammond organ, but he also uses two or three different types of synthesizers, adding a unique edge to their music. Gingras's virtuosic touch on the keys is a huge part of The Wolfman Conspiracy's sound.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Dom Mazzoli's charisma and righteous voice are worthy of recognition.  He never fails to chat up the crowd and his heroic island yell is what brings the deeply real and human vibe to their music.  The Wolfman groove is why you dance, but Mazzoli's voice is why you actually listen.

The band has a brilliant and extroverted energy with an intensely physical performance. But despite this explosive energy, moments of introversion and abstract variation are present as well, as the Wolfmen often change tempo.

DELL SMART AND EXIT/IN

Original Caribbean, Soca, Punta & Reggae

At age 12, Dell Smart started singing pop and traditional Caribbean music at clubs and parties. When his family moved to L.A., they left him behind in Belize. Although they planned to move him once they could afford to, Dell just couldn't wait. With his brother, he hitchhiked through Mexico on their way to L.A., playing cantinas for food and pesos.

Once in L.A., Dell and his brothers formed "Dell and the Sensations". With the hit song "Tears On My Pillow", they gained recognition on the west coast and put Belize on the musical map. However, love moved Dell to the east coast.  Being musically driven, Dell wasted no time starting a new band: Exit/In. After trying out a number of different people, he finally found a group of musicians who like a challenge. The members of the new band learned the music of Belize and Dell's brothers. As a group, they each bring their own aggressive slant to new compositions.

Dell Smart and Exit/In continue their global reach by keeping their heart open to new musical signs. Their debut CD, "Sure 'Ya Right" is the band's first turn in a new direction. From the blues of "Inside a Broken Heart" to the fast paced "Pomona Valley" to the reggae cover of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heavens Door", they showcase their ability to write and perform in a variety of styles.
