Edgy, Original Power-driven  Pop Punk

Solfege Radio is New Jersey's hottest teen alt-rock/punk band that's becoming quite the sensation throughout the northeast and beyond. The band came together in January 2008 and consisted of 17 year old Marco Torriani (Vocals), 16 year old Connor Wilson (Bass/Vocals), and brothers Jon (Guitar/Vocals - 18) and Matt Stolpe (Drums - 14). The line-up rounded out shortly after with the addition of Joey Nester (17) on Guitar and Vocals. The young band quickly became veterans of the NJ music scene by winning the preliminary rounds of the Jersey Shows 9th Annual Battle of the Bands. Their raw and honest live show and their throw-back NJ punk sound rang a chord with audiences. The band gained unprecedented support from the regional youth and their fanbase swelled.

Solfege Radio is signed by Danimal Records and is working on a CD and has recently released two hit singles, "New Jersey in Denial" and "Eleven", which receive frequent radio play in the mid-Atlantic states as well as internet radio play worldwide.

"2010 looks to be a busy and promising year for the young five piece. Look for Solfege Radio to grow and hone their unique brand of melodic pop punk in the year to come as they turn heads and win over crowds with their outstanding stage performances. Solfege Radio is definitely a young band to watch in 2010." - Rob Dekker (Danimal Records)

Special Guests
Original, Alt-rock In Its Purest Form

Bullethead is a band of purity. They exist solely out of their love for music.  The band has made its name in Eastern MA, but they are eager to show the rest of the state what they have to offer. And what they have to offer is pure alt. Their music is driven by powerful vocals and a style that harkens back to the music of the '90s. The band freely admits that they are children of the grunge era.  Bullethead was formed by Jeff Royds, his brother, and two friends in 1991. The name comes from a bonus track on a Van Halen bootleg. Royds, a bassist at the time, played until the band broke up a few months later. Reformed in 2008 with Royds now singing lead and playing rhythm guitar, the band is a powerhouse when it comes to independent rock.  The quartet is rounded out by Rob Talieri on lead guitar and back up vocals, George Moomjian on drums, and Kim Slamin on bass.

Royds and Slamin are the founders of New England Garage Bands, an organization that is dedicated to promoting local bands. Their podcast serves as a 24-hour-a-day radio station exclusively playing the music of bands that have been featured on their site. They understand how hard it can be for a band on the local circuit.  Click to check out Bullethead on NewEnglandGarageBands.com.

Energetic, Alternative Rock Combining  Elements of  Classic Rock, Folk, and Ambient

TASTE OF CHAINS is an energetic 4-piece alternative rock band that hails from Blackstone, MA.  They have collectively been together for 5-6 years and play mostly hard rock with classic rock influences but sometime deter down a folk or ambient rock path. When experiencing their music, you will hear diverse influences of Collective Soul, Alice in Chains, and The Beatles.  Click to check out Taste of Chains on MySpace.
Original, Hardcore Metal with a Hint of 90s Alt-rock Influence

Hailing from Leominster, MA, the band HALOS AND HERETICS combines both hardcore metal and alternative rock to create a sound of their own.  Some of their influences include Slipknot, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Motley Crew, and Lamb of God.  Click to check out Halos and Heretics on NewEnglandGarageBands.com.
Heavy, Original Alternative Rock with Metal Influences

TESTER can be described as metal with a melody. Strongly influenced by such acts as the Deftones, Life of Agony, KISS and Ozzy Osbourne, to name a few, Tester has a unique sound. Their music has a lasting quality, one not to fade out with the latest trend. Their lyrics are emotional, which can be heard in frontman Tony's vocals, and are written from life experiences. Tester has performed all over the New England area (also under their previous names, Noisebleed and PAIN). A few highlights include opening the main stage in September 1999 at WAAF's Locobazooka festival, sharing it with Slipknot, Machine Head, and Primus. In February 1999 they played the opening spot for the mini-tour of Skinlab, Crowbar and S.O.D.  Tester loves to play live and their main goal has always been to become as big as everybody wants them to be.  Click here to check out Tester on NewEnglandGarageBands.com
Unique, Original Modern Synth-rock

ONLY AT NIGHT is a local indie/synth space rock trio from outer space (Worcester) Massachusetts.  When you have a terrible and murderous day, you need music that you'll listen to (only) at night.  Their unique sound reflects the music of Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Coldplay, The Killers, Talking Heads, REM, and David Bowie.  Click here to check out Only at Night on NewEnglandGarageBands.com.
Original Alt-rock Derived from Jazz to Grunge

THE RESEMBLANCE came together in the winter of 2007. This West Roxbury band's sound is very different from most bands today, especially in concept. Influenced by bands such as Avenged Sevenfold and Fall of Troy, The Resemblance changes things up, bringing in sound derived from jazz to grunge. Over time, The resemblance has discovered and developed their unique sound, re writing earlier songs to fit in to the new concept of the band. As the writing has progressed, so has the band's skill level, which is sure to only improve as time passes...time being something The Resemblance has plenty of since they are a high school band.  Click here to check out The Resemblance on NewEnglandGarageBands.com.
