THE PIETASTERS have managed to be one of the few bands to weather the rise and fall of the ska genre in the late 90's. This is because the band was never a gimmick. They play passionate music inspired by real life; they have a timeless sound that is relevant in any era. While a smattering of ska still exists in the band's platter du jour, it would be a mistake to assume that this group is strictly a ska outfit. It's not unlikely that one will hear shades of Spencer Davis, Otis Redding, Alton Ellis and Bob Marley while the band is rocketing through their repertoire. www.thepietasters.com
 THE RELEASE is an energetic and dynamic 4-piece rock band from Boston with the raw energy of punk, the heart of classic rock & roll and blues, and rhythm of funk and reggae. The Release creates catchy, hook-filled songs that mix elements of everything from 90's alternative, to prog-rock to ska. The band started in 2000 under the name 3 Feet Short, when the members were all in high school.  BOSTON JOLLY PIRATES was formed during the Summer of 2004 in Jamaica Plain/Boston. They were initially a Street Punk/Ska band with a bunch of horns, but have morphed into "an adrenaline-fueled, testosterone-filled Ska-Core machine", mixing Ska and Hardcore Punk with Metal, Reggae, Punk Rock n Roll, Thrash, Hip Hop and many other genres with much ease. This is due to the fact that they have had frequent line-up changes in their 5+ year career, which is fine with them, because they consider themselves a 'Pirate Ship' of sorts, taking on all kinds of people with very different musical tastes and backgrounds, and blending it all together.
