Q. Hi Leah, can you tell me if my beloved cat will reincarnate and come back into my life again? If she does, how long will it be and how will I know it is her? Thanks from Jennifer, QLD
A. This is a very common question Jennifer. I could write a whole page on my perspective and beliefs in regards to reincarnation. To keep things brief, I absolutely believe that it is possible for a pet to come back into your life. I believe all living entities belong to a "Soul Group" and that prior to incarnating into our physical bodies, we plan the forms we will take, the roles we will play and most importantly how we will each help one another in our our continued evolution in consciousness. To answer the second part of your question about "when" your pet will come back. I believe that "time" in the realm of spirit is not measured in the linear sense as we know, but it is measured by "events" that we have also "landmarked" prior to incarnating. For example as Souls, we will agree to fulfill our roles when a predetermined event occurs in our physical state. This is where our "free will" and the decisions and choices we make determine who we will meet and the circumstances we will experience. I would never tell a client that a pet will come back on a certain date or month or year! When that particular soul comes back is dependant on your choices and actions. Predicting a specific date puts way too much pressure on you. I can imagine that you would be anticipating "finding" your soul mate instead of "allowing" them to come back. You would also panic if you don't find them or worry that you didn't recognize them! Who needs that sort of stress?!! The best advice I can give is to simply have faith that your Souls will immediately recognize each other and you will be re-united when all the required elements are in place. If you are meant to meet up again and help each other along this evolutionary path...you will! |

This week I pay a special tribute to a friend I have previously introduced in an earlier newsletter. Like many of my clients, Bernie and Caitie, the Bernese Mountain Dogs (& their people Heather and John) have become wonderful friends with whom I keep in touch with regularly. Sadly, Bernie made his way home to spirit in June this year. I asked Heather for some photo's of her two "kids" and I couldn't resist including the beautiful photo above. The image of brother and sister Berners, sharing a special moment under a gorgeous tree. I just love that photo! Thank you Heather and John!
As you can see in my photo above, our two Boxer boys are loving their new home by the most beautiful beach in Australia. I cetainly have some funny tales to tell about the adventures they have on their morning beach romps! They are a constant source of joy and I learn so much from observing their interactions with their "doggie beach pals". I don't think you have lived a full life until you have spent some time at an "off leash" dog beach (or park). So, whether you are a cat, dog, bird, reptile, horse (or any other animal) person, make some time this week to go and visit a place where you can simply sit and observe a group of animals interacting without "human imposed" restrictions. Whether they are wild or domestic, I guarantee you will come away feeling incredibly inspired and uplifted by what the animals have taught you.

Bernie's Journey Home
For some of us the cycle of life is very long, for others it passes in the blink of an eye. For one of my dear, dear friends his cycle for this life was 9 wonderfully happy, exciting and adventured filled years. Bernie the beautiful Berner began his journey home to spirit in June of this year, just 9 days after his 9th birthday. Interestingly, the number 9 in numerology is the number of "completion"!
I Introduced you to Bernie and his sister Caitie in one of my earlier newsletters. I am very fortunate to have met them in person when their people, Heather and John held an in-person reading with me. Bernie and Caitie are world class travelers, they have spread their love and joy around to many lucky people (and other animals) whom they have met in their journey's.
Bernie's transition was a very peaceful and special time for all who were present. This is one Berner who just keeps on giving! Not only did Bernie share his experience as he was shedding his "doggie body" with Heather & John, but he has continued to send a number of "Hey, I'm still here!" signs since his passing. Just last week John purchased a new pair of spectacles for driving. The frames that he choose were not the usual style John prefers, but after some convincing from Heather and the store assistant John agreed on a "modern, cool looking pair!". As John was fixing up the details and the bill, Heather thought to check out the model name on the cool blue frames...... the model name is "Bernie"!
I thought that was such a great story to share, especially since Bernie was always John's right hand man when driving. I can just image the big Berner saying..."we need to look cool when we are driving!" So, not only is Bernie finding opportunities to say "Hi", but he is also still looking after their health and well-being by ensuring John purchased "the best (& coolest) glasses!" I also send big hugs to Heather and John for recognizing, understanding and selflessly accepting that Bernie was ready to move on to his next big adventure. Handsome Bernie was diagnosed with a terminal illness shortly before his passing, but the always optimistic Berner endeavoured to send Heather & John a number of signs and messengers to affirm that he was quite ready to move on. I bless them for honouring Bernie despite the undeniable heartache and emptiness that one feels when sending off a loved one. Fortunately for Heather and John, Bernie's sister Caitie is always on hand for some extra love and cuddles. I am so very greatful to have met and become lasting friends with this truly inspiring and loving family! Happy Travels Bernie, we all know you will forever be "the driver in charge"!
